Working on new crossbody phone bags!
For a casual outing, all I need is my phone and keys. No need for a purse, but nice to have a small crossbody bag when I don't have a pocket. So, I'm working on an ultimate phone crossbody bag! I want it to be simple and small, yet functional. The phone should be protected, but should be able to go in and out easily. Also it might be a good idea to have a zipper pocket to keep keys safely... what do you think?
This one is made using Kokka brand Japanese cat print Oxford cotton, backed with polyester interfacing for structure, with inner fabric being my wood grain print cotton I designed and printed through spoonflower.com, backed with fusible fleese for thickness. The bag is about 8 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide, and thickness is 0.75 inches. The matching strap is adjustable and extended up to 50 inches.
I have been working on prototypes, and this one is getting close to the image I have. My preferred hardware is matte black metal but the double cap rivet set I purchased didn't come with this color, so I went with silver. I thought about using these metal rivets to finish attaching the end of shoulder straps, but not convinced if secure enough to go with just rivets, or if I still need to sew on, then maybe don't need rivets? So many decisions!
